No output is a guarantee of gold
Prospectivity scores are a ranking of ground by evidence, not a probability of payable gold. A high score means the map found the kind of signal that has accompanied known gold elsewhere — it does not mean gold is present. Every score is shown with a confidence value; treat both together, and treat thin-data ground as unknown, not barren. Recorded occurrences are records, not the whole truth of the ground.
Land-access information is guidance, not legal truth
Claim, wilderness and surface-management layers are drawn from public agency data that can lag reality, carry gaps, or be superseded. An “open” verdict is a starting point for your own diligence, never a licence to dig. Before entering or working any ground, verify current claim status, land ownership, and the rules that apply with the relevant authority. You are responsible for prospecting legally and safely.
Questions about a specific reading or layer? Every published layer states its source, licence and what it tells a prospector — see data & attribution.
